This a 3 star exclusive self catering / B&B accommodation (graded by Tourism Grading South Africa) is found in the quaint, unspoilt village of Machadodorp, situated just off the N4 Maputo Corridor.  We are two and a half hour drive from Gauteng and just over one hour from Nelspruit.  We offer affordable weekend getaways for Gauteng families, friends and couples seeking quality time. We also offer a home from home experience for business visitors, and provide meals or not as required. All our accommodation is fully equipped for self catering.  We do family and friends reunions from around South Africa and are an ideal halfway stop between the Cape and Kruger, and between OR Tambo Airport, Johannesburg and the Kruger Park, Swaziland and Mozambique.

Situated in the midst of the Mpumalanga Highlands Meander, the breath-taking mountains, rivers, gorges and grasslands present many opportunities for relaxation; fly fishing, hiking, horse rides, birding, mountain biking, rock climbing, abseiling, motor bike tours, local culture, scenic drives, historical exploration, geo caching and more. The area is the perfect destination for both nature lovers and the adventurous at heart.  Road running and Comrades Marathon training on the 60km scenic Skurweberg Pass between Machadodorp and Badplaas is a fast developing Sports Tourism innovation supported by Absolute Leisure Cottages. The quiet village atmosphere offers serenity and peace to the work weary!

Accommodation

All accommodation units are fully furnished and fully equipped for self catering.  Luxury bedding, towels and soaps are supplied and cottages are serviced daily.  Gardens are spacious, fully fenced and child friendly, and there is safe off road parking.  Every cottage and unit at Absolute Leisure is equipped with a log fire place, and wood is supplied to guests during the winter months.  There are also electric blankets and additional warm blankets for the cool Winter nights.  Children are welcome.  Sports equipment, games, toys, books and DSTV are available for family entertainment.
